France:
The French property market has always been popular with property investors, particularly first time buyers. Due to France being the first country to come out of recession within the EU, it shows that they have a pretty strong economy. This has resulted in their property market to start making a come back. Although this is good news for France, it does mean that if you want to benefit from the price rises that will happen, you’ll need to act fast to get a good investment.
Switzerland:
Due to an increased tax rate for the very high earners in April 2010, Switzerland is looking to becoming a very good investment. Because Switzerland isn’t part of the European Union, these new taxes won’t be brought in, to benefit from this, Swiss authorities have been attracting wealthy businessmen from the UK to their snowy slopes.
This attraction from many high earners and wealthy businessmen means that Switzerland is going to be a very good investment. Because more high earners will be moving to the snowy slopes of Switzerland, demand and prices for property will rocket.
After seeing this and seeing how much you could potentially make, you may want to go and start investing. However, before you do, make sure you are aware of all the costs such as insurance for holiday homes. Having to pay for essential maintenance and second home inusrance doesn’t come cheap and can eat into your investments. Just ensure your earnings will cover your costs and still make you a profit.
